Ardingly Evening Village WI has played a central role in village life since 1924; bringing together women from all walks of life and ages, creating friendships and community.
We meet at Hapstead Hall on the 3rd Thursday of every month (apart from August) at 7.45pm.
We are a charitable group which looks to support issues and members of our community at both local and national level. We are part of the West Sussex Federation of Women’s Institutes.
Every year we run a varied programme of events that seek to educate and develop our members. If you have an interest that you would like to explore further or an idea about something that we may interested in then please get in touch.
We have extra groups that run throughout each month and all members are welcome to attend:
Book Group – Meets every four weeks at the Ardingly Inn. We read a huge variety of fiction and non fiction books.
Knit and Natter – Meets once a month at various members homes. It’s a perfect opportunity to brush up on new craft skills, share something or take part in one of our charity makes. Venue will be on our Facebook page.
Details of all of social events listed will be provided at monthly meetings and on our Facebook page. In the past this has been activities such as learning about encaustic art, celebrating Chinese New Year and watching plays at the open air theatre in Brighton.
